All of Heaven Rejoices

You were created to have a personal relationship with God. So if you made the decision to welcome Jesus as Lord and Savior into your life, we are celebrating with you! At Crossroads, we believe following Jesus is more than accepting a set of doctrines—it’s a daily calling to become more like Jesus and live out His mission to reach others with the good news.

You don't have to do this alone, either. Learn more about what we believe at salvation and the next steps we offer to help you find your footing as a follower of Christ.

What We Believe

About Salvation

Our Need
Every person who has lived—with the sole exception of Jesus Christ—is in need of personal deliverance from God's eternal judgment for his sinfulness—that is, his violation of God's will and falling short of God's perfect standards.

See Romans 3:9-23 and Ephesians 2:1-3
Christ's Provision
Christ died as a full and sufficient payment for the sins of the entire world and as a substitute for all people. Christ's shed blood is the only provision by which an individual may be delivered from the wrath of God.

See Hebrews 10:1-14, John 14:6, Acts 4:12, Romans 3:24, and 2 Corinthians 5:18-21
Accepting Salvation
Salvation is a free gift of God that must be received by each individual through faith and trust in Christ's sacrifice on the cross alone—and not through self-effort or human merit.

See Acts 13:38-39 and 16:31, Romans 3:19-28, Galatians 2:16, and Ephesians 2:1-10
Assurance of Salvation
The person who trusts in Christ's death on the cross to save them can be assured of their destiny in heaven because of their position in Christ and possession of eternal life.

See John 3:16, 5:24, and 10:27-29, Hebrews 13:5, and 1 John 5:11-13
Formation Following Salvation
God's purpose for each of His children is to conform them to the image of Christ, which is a progressive process in which the Christian should respond in obedience to God's word and cooperate with the Spirit's leading. Complete sanctification will not be attained in this life but is received at the believer's death or rapture.

See Colossians 2:6-7, John 17:17, 2 Corinthians 3:18 and 7:1, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, and 1 John 3:2-3
Entrance to Heaven
Every Christian will stand for evaluation at the judgment seat of Christ to determine eternal rewards based on faithfulness in obedience to God, subsequent to salvation.

See 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 and 2 Corinthians 5:9-10

Next Steps

for New Believers

Grow

Salvation is the starting point in our relationship with Jesus—and sanctification is the process that follows. Becoming more like Christ is a journey, one that often involves reading and studying the Bible. That's where our resources for new believers come in—as a helpful starting point if you’re not sure where to begin.

We've created a special 30-Day Devotional that will help guide you through your first days as a new believer or help strengthen your faith if you have just recommitted your life to the Lord. Tap the button below to find this and other resources that will help you find your footing in the Word.

Connect

God does not expect us to gain knowledge and wisdom alone. For new believers, reading God's Word and meeting Him in prayer aren't just individual practices; they're also meant to be pursued with brothers and sisters who can guide you as your understanding deepens.

At Crossroads, we offer many ways for you to find a community that will walk with you. Use the buttons below to learn more about these offerings.

Express

Have you recently accepted Jesus in your heart—and are you interested in sharing your story of salvation with our church family? Then we invite you to participate in our next Baptism Sunday!

Baptism is a practice first seen in the Gospels that marks a person’s commitment to follow Christ. Baptism is not a substitute for salvation but an outward celebration of it. If you've accepted Jesus into your heart and want to take this meaningful step, click the button below!
